This
photograph was taken around the time of completion of the Glessner
House, which was designed for John J. Glessner, an executive for
the International Harvester Company. The house offers a typical
example of Richardsons trademark Romanesque Revival-style
facades. It is the only remaining building in Chicago by the architect,
and was completed a year after his death. It is now a house museum:
