Version 1.1 Changes
Several small new features have been added to ImageTag in Version 1.1:
- The tag menu is now editable. To edit, click on Edit/Menu Items. It will bring up
a dialog which you can use to customize your tag. Note that there will always be a fixed
number of tags; you can neither add or delete tags.
- The program no longer suffers from the restriction of having every directory of image
files having to begin with 0001.tif. You can now begin a directory with an arbitrary
number, as long as you have the sequential numbers following it.
- The program can now handle both .GIF and .JPG thumbnails (but it has to have at least
one of the two!)
- With the "edit" command, now you can edit a block of cells at a time rather than just
a single cell.
A small note on the naming convention, which was a little unclear to me once I began
work on this project. Your directory must contain tifs with a four digit id as the name,
and a matching gif or jpg image. The id can start arbitrarily, but must be followed in
sequential order. An example directory that ImageTag accepts might contain 0002.tif, 0002.gif,
0003.tif, 0003.jpg, and so forth. You can download some sample images
if you'd like to test things out.
Please see the installation instructions
if you need help setting up the program.
